Harakeke and the teina of the kura have been doing an athletics rotation in the past few weeks. Tamariki have been practising pekeroa (long jump), tūpeke (high jump), peke tāepa (hurdles), pekerere (frisbee. tennis balls/shotput, bean bags) as well as short and long distance running. Kaitiakitanga - giving materials that would have been thrown away a second lease of life.
Looking after these materials to ensure we have them a long time to use in our play.
Manaakitanga - taking turns, negotiating, helping each other to move things.
Ngā rangatira a āpōpō!
