Pikelit Party!

 We made pikelits this week - amid much discussion about what pikelits actually are. Are they pancakes? Well - not really. Are they crumpets? No! Do they taste good? Yes! 

We started out by making sure our hands were ready for cooking...

Then we cracked some eggs...
We took turns to mix the eggs and the sugar...

Then added in some baking powder and some flour...
Opps! Forgot to bring some milk!! Whew! Luckily the office had some milk!!
We added this in and mixed it through...

Then spooned out the mixture into a hot pan. There was much discussion labout the hot pan and how to keep ourselves safe.
We felt the heat (safely)...
And everyone had a turn at flipping the pikelits...
Emm... delicious!
